PROJECT 01 / LIGHT
Ongoing study
ZORA
An ongoing study in how light should behave.
HORIZON / ZORA 03 · SUNSET → NIGHT
THE QUESTION
How should light behave in a room?
Pebbi, Momo and Horizon came out of the same question about how light should behave in a room.
THE BEHAVIOURS
06 CONDITIONS
Three objects, one light, studied in the conditions it has to survive.
- ACROSS TIME
HORIZON
It moves a room from late afternoon into night without changing anything else in it.
- IN DAYLIGHT
MOMO
In daylight the ribbed surface catches shadow and behaves like a ceramic object.
- AT NIGHT
MOMO
At night the same surface carries the light out in soft lines.
- SWITCHED OFF
PEBBI
It reads as an object before it reads as a lamp.
- IN THE HAND
PEBBI
An object you want to touch before you switch it on.
- IN A ROOM
PEBBI
Pebbi sits on the floor and lights a room from below. The stones are stacked, not fixed in a frame, so the light escapes where they meet.
Dimensions, materials and light specification to follow. Nothing here is a finished product.
STORY
A lighting collection developed in house: form, material, light and packaging.
One light, three objects, each for a different kind of room.
MAKING
IN PROGRESS
HORIZON / 01—05
Horizon is the current form in the collection, the fifth in a line of developments.

Fifth development form.

LIGHT OBJECT / ZORA 01 · Prototype / Study
PEBBI
A light object for moments of pause.
Pebbi sits on the floor and lights a room from below. The stones are stacked, not fixed in a frame, so the light escapes where they meet. It reads as an object before it reads as a lamp.

MOMO
Small, round, quiet all day.
Momo works twice. In daylight the ribbed surface catches shadow and behaves like a ceramic object. At night the same surface carries the light out in soft lines.

NOT BUILT
- How should light behave when someone enters the room?
- Should an object know the difference between afternoon and evening?
- What would it take for light to follow a ritual rather than a switch?
Questions the collection has not answered yet. Nothing here is built.
